    BENNI'S BIRTHDAY PROJECT was a book, put together by FYH, filled with messages & photo's from fans all over the world, for Benni's 25th Birthday. The book was GIVEN TO BENNI who even posted a photo of himself with it, on his FACEBOOK and TWITTER

    • Benni on his scar: Q: Where did you get that from?  Benni: From the 1st game in the second half of the season in 2012, against Stuttgart. Unfortunately Marco Höger and I crashed into each other by mistake Q. And then what happened? Benni: I had a triple cheekbone fracture and needed an operation. The surgeons had to go in at two different places to secure my cheekbone. Then I had to wear a protective mask for about two months. The mask is now at home on a shelf.  Q. Are you conscious of the scar? Does it affect your vanity? Benni: I do try to take care of myself and perhaps maybe I am a little vain. The scar doesn’t really annoy me, except in the first six months because I thought it made my right eye look lower than my left Q. Are scars sexy? Benni: Maybe they are interesting [Laughs] You’ll have to ask other people. My girlfriend hasn’t complained about it yet.
